The fabric of your choice is channeled into a vinyl backing allowing for greater light blocking, privacy, and insulation.  Additionally, the vinyl backing prevents the vanes from curling, reduces swaying, and provides a consistent, clean look from outside your window.

Sew in Weights - Heavy metal disks are sewn into the bottom of each fabric vane, reducing curling and swaying, and improving the operation of the headrail.

Bottom Chains
each vane is connected at the bottom by a small metal chain on each side.  This adds a bit of elegance, and virtually eliminates the swaying when the vanes are drawn opened or closed.  We do not recommend this feature to households with pets or young children.  Instead we recommend the sew in weights as a free upgrade.
