Inside or Outside Mount for Vertical Blinds

Inside MountInside Mount:

The mounting brackets sit inside the opening of the window frame. When the binds are open or closed, you'll see all 4 edges (top, bottom, right and left) of the window frame. This may be the best mount for you if your window frame is visually appealing. The inside mount offers what some consider a "cleaner" and more modern look.

Outside MountOutside Mount:

The mounting brackets sit above and outside the window frame. When the binds are fully closed, you won't see the 4 edges (top, bottom, right and left) of the window frame. As you open your vertical blinds, you'll expose the left or right side of the frame/window, then more and more as you open your blinds. This may be the best mount for your window frame if your frame is unattractive or if you want to add more visual appeal to that wall and your window is smaller than you'd like. Just note, if your order your vertical blinds too large compared to your window size, the combination may look awkward when your blinds are fully opened. The outside mount also helps ensure no light escapes through gaps on either side of the window.
